I recently spoke with a bride who had just returned from her honeymoon. She and her new husband are very adventurous, so they decided on a busy honeymoon and stayed in three different resorts in two different countries; the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica. Two of the resorts were all-inclusive and one of those was for adults only. The third resort was neither.
At my urging, they chose to stay in two areas of Costa Rica; Guanacaste and Arenal. Guanacaste is a beach area and Arenal is a volcano area. They really loved Costa Rica in general.
They are avid scuba divers, so when they returned she said their favorite resort was the one in the volcano area; The Springs Hotel Resort and Spa. Really, I wasn’t surprised, because I know this resort is phenomenal and so, so romantic.
She said The Springs Resort and Spa was amazing and I got a huge smile on my face when she described entering their room and being “shocked and awed” by the beauty of their room.
Here is a description of the Honeymoon Vista Room:
Each Guest Room and Villa at The Springs Resort and Spa includes a Private Terrace with Balcony and Picturesque Volcano View, Hammocks, Rocking Chairs, Central Air Conditioning, Luxurious Marbled Bathrooms with Jacuzzi Tubs and Multiple Head Showers, Satellite Television with 37” Flat Screen TV, Surround Sound Stereo with CD/DVD Player and IPOD/MP3/USB Connectivity, Telephone, Wireless Internet Access, Wet Bar, Safe, Mini-Bar Refrigerator and Coffee Maker
In addition to the fantastic view and all the amenities of our Vista units these ultra-special guest rooms offer our guests the ability to enjoy a hot mineral spring experience in the privacy of their own lushly landscaped garden terrace. With the touch of a switch hot spring water flows with pressure into the jets of the Jacuzzi allowing for a soothing massage of your lower back and legs. The overflowing water then cascades over the infinity border edge and out of the Jacuzzi.
She said the staff really spent a lot of time talking with them and sharing about their culture. They enjoyed feeding sloths, a toucan and big cats in the wildlife preserve. The waterfall rappelling was a real adrenaline rush. They rappelled down five waterfalls and the tallest was 158 ft.
Even though The Springs is not an all-inclusive resort; nor is it adults-only, it was still their favorite by far. She said it was such a unique place, they want to return to The Springs Resort and Spa for their anniversary and spend a week. Guess which room I’ll be requesting for them?
She thanked me for doing “such an incredible job” and “exceeding their expectations”.
