If you like to travel you need Carefree Romantic Vacations. After almost 40 years flying for a major airline you would think I would know all the ropes for travel. That's not the case. Recently my wife Cindy and I along with our good friends Rick and Kim decided we needed a trip to Tahiti and I knew my travel expertise would be of no help. So our friends recommended we contact their travel agency Carefree Romantic Vacations and Sheila Cannon. Sheila was a pleasure to work with making many suggestions for both the resort and cruise portions of out trip. Well everything was smooth and absolutely fantastic. Every step of the way Sheila was there answering our questions and arranging things along the way. We stayed at resorts in both Papeete and Bora Bora as well as a 7 day cruise on the Paul Gauguin and it was amazing. Future trips are already in the planning and Sheila and Carefree Romantic Vacations will definitely be part of it.

Bucket List Alaska Cruise Adventure on Oceania Regatta
Sheila truly went above and beyond in developing a bucket list vacation for us. She researched many types of Alaskan cruises and the various cruise lines based upon our initial conversation with her. We settled upon Oceania based upon the length and itinerary of the cruise. Experiencing and seeing the Hubbard Glacier up close and being able to witness and hear the intense roar of the glacier calving from only a football field's length away was indeed the highlight of our trip. We even held a piece of the floating glacial ice! Alaska is absolutely beautiful in its untouched beauty and wildlife. The air is crisp and clean and the people were so friendly. We had an amazing Alaskan adventure!

Stress-Free Machu Picchu Adventure for Mother and Son
Sheila was helpful, comprehensive, and patient with our changes during planning. Planning that started as an entire family’s vacation and ended in a mother and son trip that went well beyond checking off an item from a bucket list. No stress, nothing to worry about (although I worried plenty before the trip, which proved to have been a waste of time!), we just enjoyed the adventure. We started in Lima, then on to the Sacred Valley, to hiking the last day of the Inca Trail, and seeing Machu Picchu through tear-filled eyes from the Sun Gate, to the citadel at Machu Picchu, to hiking Wayna Picchu, back to Cusco for a tour there, and then flying back to Lima and home. All the hotels were amazing and the food was sublime. We appreciated the welcomes at each hotel, and having personal guides at each transfer and activity. So comfortable and no concerns with purchasing tickets, permits, how will we get from here to there, finding places to eat, how to handle the water, adjusting to the altitude; every detail had been covered by Sheila’s expert and precise planning. Carefree Romantic Vacation in Italy
When my wife and I decided to celebrate our 50th birthdays and 30th anniversary, we wanted to do something big and memorable. We had never traveled outside the United States before and decided on going to Italy. We met with Sheila from "Carefree Romantic Vacations" to sit and discuss what we were expecting as first time travelers. Sheila was great! Unforgettable Family Vow Renewal at Beaches Turks & Caicos
I wanted to thank Sheila Cannon of Carefree Romantic Vacations!!
She arranged a trip of a lifetime for my husband and I, our 2 children and their significant others as well as 14 of our dear friends.
She arranged 7 rooms including a mini suite for our friends that had a 1 year old.
We went to Turks and Caicos for 1 week.
Sheila arranged the entire trip which was at a Beaches all inclusive resort that was absolutely incredible.
The hotel staff, restaurants, amenities and location couldn’t have been more perfect!!
This trip occurred during Covid and unfortunately my husband and I came down with it right before our trip.
Unbeknownst to us, Sheila suggested the children and our friends participate in a vow renewal for our 40th anniversary. We were delayed by 4 days. Sheila arranged all the necessary changes, and once we were healthy, we were able to go and enjoy ourselves, my husband and I had no idea that we were having a Vow renewal and it was most touching and memorable!!

Seamless Destination Wedding Planning in Mexico with Sheila Cannon

She was like a matchmaker who helped us find the right resort that fit our many preferences for our destination wedding. She truly made our experience memorable and carefree, and we highly recommend her and her services. We plan to seek her help again for future travel plans. We decided early that we wanted a destination wedding, but the world offers many options, and the task to pick a location seemed daunting. Even after we decided on a country (Mexico), the wedding planning task was still daunting to do on our own because there were so many options within that country, so we decided it would be best to seek the help of a professional. We found Sheila on The Knot, and after reading a little more about her, we decided to contact her. Part of requesting a consultation involved filling out a questionnaire that asked for several of our preferences, and during our first phone conversation, she asked us to elaborate on our responses to that questionnaire.
Some of our preferences included the following: 1) all-inclusive resort, 2) family-friendly, and 3) affordability for us and our guests. Following the phone conversation, she emailed a few suggestions based on our preferences, and we looked into the offerings of each by exploring their websites and YouTube reviews by other travellers. One of those resorts actually met all three of our major preferences, and as soon as we confirmed our choice, Sheila went into action. She immediately set up a website for us to share with our guests. After a round of feedback from us, the website was launched, and our guests used it to contact her, and she essentially served as their travel agent. She helped our guests book room reservations, flights, group transportation between the hotel and resort, and excursions (if desired by the guest). She helped all of our 75 guests, including accommodating families to be near each other at the resort (and this resort was VERY large).
Regarding our wedding, she helped us communicate with the appropriate wedding planning personnel at the resort. Whenever any issues arose, Sheila served as our advocate to help us communicate our needs with the resort. And throughout the trip, she threw in a few pleasant unexpected wedding surprises for us here and there. Our only criticism is that she could not join us as one of our wedding guests; she is such a pleasant person, and we wish she could have been there to enjoy the fruits of her labor.
The least we can do is thank her and recommend other couples to seek her assistance with destination wedding planning. We hope she'll consider helping us again for our next romantic getaway.

Last-Minute Honeymoon Bliss in Jamaica
In the process of planning our wedding my husband and I thought of everything but soon realized we forgot to plan our honeymoon! We had a month before our wedding when in dawned on us that we still hadn't booked a single thing for our honeymoon. We chose to book with Sheila at Carefree Romantic Vacations to help us plan all the details for our honeymoon. We've worked with Sheila before and loved our experience so it was a no brained to do so again. We had a specific week we could take our honeymoon and Sheila helped us narrow down location, activities and took care of all bookings. We chose her concierge package and are so glad we did because we didn't worry about a thing. There were several special touches that were embedded to make our honeymoon that much special as well. Sheila booked us a complementary sunset photo shoot and provided an itinerary which my type A personality was super thankful for. We loved honeymooning in Jamaica and we look forward to booking her for future travels!
Unforgettable Honeymoon at Sandals Royal Plantation
I contacted Sheila when the time came to book our honeymoon for April 2022. We had an initial phone consultation during she really got to know my wants for the trip. I told Sheila that my future husband was not keen on traveling and I wanted a trip that he would love so much that it would make him want to travel more. I will say that my favorite thing about Sheila is that she made that a reality! The other great thing about her is that she has been all over the world and can tell you so much about so many places which really helps you decide where to book your trip to. We ended up deciding on Sandals Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios, Jamaica and we are so happy that we went there, it was the perfect honeymoon for us! The butler service, the food, the people, the beautiful scenery...everything was top notch and they really do treat you like royalty. Sheila let us know that we could go next door to the bigger Sandals resort with more amenities. We liked being able to have access to that as well but mostly enjoyed the calmer and more relaxed vibe at Royal Plantation. Sheila was very quick at communicating with me anytime I emailed her with questions. She booked two excursions for us: the bioluminescent blue lagoon and a day on the power boat, as well as a couples massage. We really enjoyed all of it and can't wait to go back to Royal Plantation some day. If you are truly looking for a "carefree romantic vacation," Sheila is the person to go to!

Dream Honeymoon in St. Lucia
Sheila planned our dream honeymoon for my husband and me! All we had to do was tell her what we wanted, and she made sure it happened.
She was always available when we had questions and kept us on track and informed. We were able to relax and enjoy our vacation to the fullest because she was there to help us every step of the way.
We went to the Caribbean Island of St. Lucia and stayed at the Sandals Grande resort. The location was incredible, and we were able to do many fun activities off the resort that Sheila organized for us.

Perfect Alaska Family Adventure Cruise
Sheila did a great job of planning our cruise to Alaska. We brought 2 of our kids with us so we wanted everything to be perfect. It was an awesome trip and everything worked out smoothly. Best River Cruise Ever!
Best trip Ever! My wife and I went on an 8 day river cruise from Memphis to New Orleans. Sheila with Carefree Romantic Vacations took care of everything for us. She even arranged all of our Transportation. When we left for our trip we didn't have to worry about a thing. She was amazing to work with. We will be using Sheila for now on every time we want to go on Vacation.

We engaged Sheila to plan our family vacation to Bora Bora. We were impressed with her knowledge of the various resorts, and after she gained an understanding of the type of vacation we wanted, she recommended the perfect resort for us. Perfect Proposal and Romantic Surprises in Kenya
We just returned from another amazing vacation, thanks to Sheila! Planning a trip to both Europe and Africa would always have been complicated, but that was especially true now with constantly-changing COVID requirements. While we were in the air en route to Switzerland, Kenya changed their entrance requirements. We would never have known about this and would have been stuck at the airport in Nairobi if it weren't for Sheila! She was ON IT and when I landed in Zurich I had a message from her outlining all the changes and telling me exactly where to go in the Zurich airport to take a new test. I can't imagine what a disaster it would have been without her!
Our Christmas Eve in Zurich and our safari in Kenya, especially, surpassed our expectations at every turn. There were lots of romantic surprises, such as a private dinner in the greenhouse at Giraffe Manor, that Sheila had for us without our asking! We got engaged on this trip and Sheila is already helping us to plan our destination wedding--I would never take on something like that without her! My fiancé calls Sheila our "secret weapon" always making sure our travel goes off without a hitch!

Incredible 15th Anniversary River Cruise in Europe
My wife and I were looking to go on a trip to Europe for our 15th wedding anniversary. We were trying the usual google searches and other online services and not able to get what we wanted. We were referred to Sheila and Carefree Romantic Vacations and WOW!!! What an incredible experience from start to finish. Not only was the trip amazing, we took a river cruise, but with Covid we had to make multiple changes to both the cruise and the flights. Sheila was by our side the entire way and put in a ton of extra effort to make the changes and really guarantee our trip went smoothly. I highly recommend using her services.
Unforgettable 10th Anniversary in Bora Bora
I absolutely recommend Sheila! She did a wonderful job planning my 10th anniversary trip to Bora Bora. She made the process so easy and stress free by helping me pick the right hotel, excursions, and flights. She helped me comply with the COVID restrictions and dealt with every little detail including dinner reservations. My husband and I were especially glad we hired her after the airline cancelled our flight there and then rescheduled our flight home. She was able to put us on a waitlist with the airline for another flight and contact the hotel to extend our stay last minute at the same rate. I was so grateful I didn’t have to deal with that. It was the most memorable and romantic vacation we’ve ever had. My husband never wants to go on vacation and after our trip to Bora Bora, he can’t stop talking about using Sheila again.

Stress-Free Vacation Thanks to Sheila Cannon
I met Sheila Cannon four years ago at the Scuba Show in Long Beach. I was planning a surprise trip for my wife and decided to go all out. Sheila said she would handle all the details and I wouldn’t have to worry about anything. I told her what I wanted, white sand beaches, plenty of sunshine and easy access to scuba diving topped my list. I had started planning this trip about 18 months in advance and during that time I had numerous changes and requests. Basically, I threw some curveballs at Sheila, changing travel dates, type of accommodations etc. Sheila handled them all in stride. She actually seemed to enjoy it. Everything was “good to go” as we neared the start of our vacation and my wife was really excited (I had to finally tell her about the trip so she would have a few weeks to prepare). And then COVID 19 hit. All sorts of problems arose but not for me. Sheila, “my travel agent” took care of everything. She not only had to handle some curveballs but also some fastballs, sinkers, sliders, knuckleballs and change ups as well. I did absolutely nothing, Sheila took care of everything. I even added two days on the front end and the tail end of our vacation at the last minute with just a single call to “my travel agent”. And if that wasn’t enough, I even changed hotel reservations for our last two days during our vacation with a short email to “my travel agent. Sheila hit a GRAND SLAM WALK OFF HOME RUN. The end result is that we had an absolutely fantastic worry free vacation.

Stress-Free Family Cruise with Sheila Cannon
We received Sheila's name from friends who had utilized her services many times to plan their trips. From the moment we spoke to her and explained our desire to take our family of 10 on a once in a lifetime cruise, we knew she was the one to help us.
Sheila was very responsive and very patient with all of my questions. She recommended the perfect ship (based on what we told her we wanted) and made excellent recommendations for our excursions.
Knowing the reservations were made for our flights, room bookings on the ship and our excursions was such a HUGE relief. Coordinating a family of 10 was a bit overwhelming for me, but Sheila made all of my anxiety disappear.

Stress-Free Cabo Wedding with Sheila
Our initial thought when planning a wedding was - OVERWHELMED, we had no idea where to start or even what we wanted to plan. The idea of a destination wedding came up and my parents, husband and I couldn't think of a better way to get married. We wanted to plan some intimate, fun and that was us! My parents have used Sheila several times over the years, we instantly thought to use her for our destination wedding. Sheila is the GAL to work with - as any bride is, I was extremely nervous and had NO IDEA where to begin. Sheila took the time to take into account our "Resort Needs" and narrowed down resorts for us to pick through, she then got info from each of the resorts wedding departments and allowed us to choose. This was exactly what my mom, husband and I needed to select a resort. We landed at Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos - which we loved, once we were there. I will say that communication - on the resort side - was lacking at times prior to arrival and Sheila worked through all of our communication lapses and kept amazing records. Sheila not only worked to arrange our group booking, but worked with the wedding department to plan our Fiesta in Cabo San Lucas. We will absolutely use Sheila and her company again no matter our travel needs.
A couple things any destination couple should think about when planning:
Patience - You will be working with people from other countries, time zones - who work at resorts. Their job is to sell you the biggest packages and make money. Sheila will help you keep what you want into account, keep record of that and knock heads when needed to see your dreams through.
If you have a vision of how you things to look - remember that, don't get lost in the idea that the resort and where you are at is the decor, if you want some color or traditional touches. You can absolutely do that! You may have to bring stuff with you, but don't let go of all of the traditions just because you are going destination!
Have FUN - I had lots of stress around bringing a group and making sure everyone loved it. Sheila put my mind at ease more than once, assuring my the resort had lots of amazing reviews and handled the group booking like a champ! She provided us with lists of who booked with arrival dates, which HELPED SOO much once we were down there.

Hi Sheila, It seems like a million years since we got back from Antigua and I was very remiss to not get in touch sooner. Thank you so much for organizing our Sandals Grande Antigua booking. Everything went very smoothly. The resort was very good, and our room was in a perfect location. The diving was so-so (not unexpected) and the dive store staff were awesome - really looked after us (I think they enjoyed not having to baby sit us actually!!)
The restaurants were disappointing - too bad there was no local food. Anyhow we found a favorite and they looked after us very well - including all kinds of birthday shenanigans from our rather unruly group!!
The tour desk went above and beyond to book segways and ziplines etc. And everything went without a hitch.

Sheila planned our 34 day vacation thru Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and England, with a return trip on the Queen Mary II, and a weekend in Virginia.
Everything was flawless! We had multiple travel connections traveling by plane, train, ferry, rental cars, limousines, and ocean lines. With 15 different hotels along the way and multiple tours, we expected to hit some bumps along the way, but with Sheila's attention to detail, we never had an issue.

Unforgettable Travel Experiences with Sheila
Last year, my husband and I decided we wanted to take a trip for my 30th birthday (to Alaska, because I wanted to see the glaciers before they're gone!), as well as a New Year's tropical vacation. Sheila's efforts allowed us to have two "trip of a lifetime" experiences in a single year!
When we first decided that we wanted to see Alaska, we weren't even sure how to go about beginning the process and were quickly overwhelmed. But more importantly, in terms of our second trip, while we knew we wanted to go *somewhere* tropical, we weren't sure exactly where. This is where Sheila comes in! After a short phone call getting to know us both, Sheila quickly helped us choose the right cruise line for our goals (a smaller ship, that was more adult-oriented, with a passable dining experience) and select a location for our first tropical trip (Belize).
Sheila took care of every element of the trip, from booking a private car to take us to our hotel the night before our cruise to the puddle jumper flight we took from Belize City to Placencia (the town our resort was in). Sheila is all about the details and it shows! We were always welcomed with a note from her and often a snack or drink. It's those little touches that make the difference.
The resort that she found for us in Belize was absolutely gorgeous. It was such a wonderfully relaxing trip, and we were able to relax leading up to it as well, knowing that everything had been taken care of. Sheila kept us informed of any changes to scheduled flight times, and adjusted our itinerary accordingly. When we had an issue with the flight on our way home from Belize, I called Sheila and left a message (after hours), knowing it was a long shot. Not only did she call me back within 10 minutes, she called the airline on our behalf and did her best to come up with alternative solutions for us. Ultimately, it was out of all of our control, but her dedication was impressive nevertheless.
Finally, I have to mention again that Sheila is all about the details. Even when it is outside the parameters of your travel. Every time I emailed with a question (and I had a few), she would respond promptly and without ever making me feel like a bother. She sent us guest passes to the Magic Castle(!!!) with our itinerary for each trip. The Magic Castle is an institution in Southern California and is only accessible to members and their guests. We were unbelievably excited to have this opportunity, courtesy of her thoughtfulness! Sheila also sent us a lovely custom ornament at Christmas to commemorate our Alaskan cruise! I can not emphasize enough how much effort Sheila puts into maintaining relationships with her clients and it makes all of the difference.

Amazing Bucket List Honeymoon in Tahiti
Sheila made our bucket list trip to Tahiti absolutely amazing! It was so nice to have every single detail taken care of- real luxury!
Leaving the honeymoon to Sheila was one of the best decisions I made early on in my wedding planning process. Trust me- you've got so much to plan and take care of, if you want to do a once in a lifetime honeymoon (like we did- Tahiti!) leave it to Sheila. She arranged absolutely everything! Our flights to Tahiti, our excursions, every single transfer (think: dude at the airport with your name on a sign, ready to whisk you away!). Make sure to read all the helpful information she sends- that was our only snafu was a miscommunication that was in the paperwork that I didn't read (facepalm). Perfect Mediterranean Pre-Cruise Travel Planning with Sheila
I highly recommend contacting Sheila if you are planning a trip anywhere! We recently went on a Mediterranean cruise and had already booked our flights and cruise when we realized we really didn't know how we were going to get around in Spain or where we should stay. Unforgettable Europe Trip Planning with Sheila

If you read the review below, you can see that my husband and I had previously used Sheila's services for our honeymoon about three years ago. Her attention to details and ability to catch the essence of what we want/need in our trip were the reasons we decided to use her services again for our Europe trip with my parents.
I contacted Sheila a few months before our estimated time that we wanted to do Europe. We could only vacation for a maximum of two weeks in March because of work, but also wanted to fit in as much as we could. Sheila was on top of her game, listening to everything we wanted, and even recommending some amazing destinations that we didn't even think of. In a span of two weeks, we went from Los Angeles to Amsterdam (our favorite city!), Paris, Munich, Lucerne, Venice, Rome , and everything in between. We listened to every single one of her recommendations, including taking a 1st class train vs coach, and her recommendations made a world of a difference. Sheila was able to make this whirlwind of a trip memorable and amazing, from letting us see a glacier at the top of the snow-capped mountains in Switzerland, to seeing the golden lavishness of the Versailles. Even with our schedule, she made sure to leave time for us to explore on our own.
While my husband and I knew that Sheila is amazing, my parents were blown away by her expertise and helpfulness. Even throughout the whole trip, she was accessible through a handy app that she provided, email, or by phone, which is incredibly reassuring during international trips. Stress-Free Honeymoon Planning in Italy: Let Sheila Cannon Handle It All
My now husband did not want me to fuss over the honeymoon since I was doing a bulk of the wedding planning and he was going to be jetting off to his military training for 5 months so he hired Sheila to book and plan our honeymoon for us. What a great idea that was!! We chatted with Sheila about what we liked and didn't like, where we wanted to go and what we wanted to see. Based on this, Sheila put together an itinerary for us and a few hotels she had selected for us to stay. After some tweaks based on our input, most everything was taken care of for us - hotels booked, flights booked, tours booked. In the week before the wedding, we received our travel documents and I was NOT expecting to not have to lift a single finger for our honeymoon. She had included the itinerary with the hotel stay, flight information, tour info and meeting place, as well as directions to and from each place! Our trip was in Italy and we were not going to have cell service out there, so having all of those directions ahead of time was SO helpful! Each day I only had to check the itinerary and pull out whatever vouchers or directions we would need for that day. And, given Sheila's connections with various hotels, we received some perks along the way. We will definitely use Sheila to help us book future trips and it was all just so worry-free! Flawless Honeymoon in Italy: Sheila Cannon's Expert Planning
My husband and I were so busy planning our wedding that we didn't have the time or energy to plan our honeymoon in Italy. We are SO glad that we found Sheila to plan EVERYTHING!!!! Seamless and Special Greece Anniversary Vacation
Sheila put together an amazing trip to Greece for our 2nd wedding anniversary. My husband had limited time off for this vacation and Sheila gave us great advice on how to divide our time in Greece. Unforgettable 20th Anniversary and Family Trip Planning with Sheila
Sheila was exceptional in planning our 20th wedding anniversary trip to St. Lucia! Her personal visits to properties, like the Sandals Grande St. Lucian, made all the difference. While the overwater bungalow wasn't as far out into the ocean as I had hoped—bringing to mind my past stay at Le Meridien in Bora Bora—the bungalow itself was fabulous.
Sheila's recommendations extended beyond St. Lucia. She also provided valuable guidance for a recent trip to Paris with my teenager. All three butlers at the Grande St. Lucian were attentive and resourceful, making our stay incredibly enjoyable. We spent most of our time relaxing in the bungalow, and the flights and luxury transport options—Lexus to the resort and a BMW back to the airport—were top-notch.
The staff at the resort were very friendly, and despite the lack of a direct flight, our trip was wonderful. I’ve shared photos on Facebook and will definitely recommend Sheila for travel planning. Thank you, Sheila!
Stress-Free and Perfect Sandals Montego Bay Honeymoon
Booking our honeymoon with Shelia was one of the smartest things we did through the wedding process. She asked for our budget and interests and from there gave us 3-5 recommendations of places she thought would work best for (since we were clueless!). We ended up at Sandals Montego Bay- which was absolutely perfect for us! Shelia nailed it and the resort gave us everything we were after (endless amount of food, drinks, and lounging on the beach). We literally didn't have to worry about one thing the entire trip or leading up to it. She arranged our flights, notified us of any flight changes, gave us a list of things we should pack, and even access to a personalized App with all of our confirmation numbers (hotel, shuttles, flights, etc.) for the whole trip. A Spectacular 40th Anniversary African Safari
OMG. Sheila organized THE BEST 40th Anniversary trip…an African Safari! We did South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia. About 4 days in each place. Land and water safaris. Exhilarating. We saw the big 5 several times over. Amazing. She let everyone know about our anniversary and EVERYONE made it so special for us. We truly don’t know how we will ever top this one!

Sheila once again came through for me. I took a chance and had her plan my Hawaii Honeymoon in 2014 after meeting her at a bridal show. My husband and I were not disappointed. So it came as no surprise that I asked her to plan my 40th b-day trip to Paris & Rome.
She once again made it amazing! I gave her my budget and my list of things that I wanted to do and she made it happen. She was even kind enough to let me know that it would be pointless for me to book/pay for some tours when I could do them on my own. The effortless way she sets up the tours and has the vouchers ready to go is the best. All you have to do is wake up and be ready to explore!
She even booked and took care of my Disney Paris Trip!!! Then it so happened that I ended up loving going to Rome a lot more after the tours she booked for us. My husband was over the moon when he was able to go into the Colosseum and visit the underground!

This was the first time we've book with a travel agent, and it was the best experience anyone could ask for. Sheila is by far amazing, professional, and thorough, and has great suggestions. She helped us plan our honeymoon in Bora Bora. She made it so easy and stress free that we didn't even have to think about it, until we packed the day after our wedding. She helped us book everything from our airline travel from LAX to Tahiti, Moorea, and Bora Bora, and all of our transfers by ferry, and boat to and from hotels. She gave us great suggestions on excursions to do, tips for meals. She was very knowledgeable about all the details regarding our honeymoon trip. She helped us alter our trip itinerary so that our trip wouldn't break the bank (example: no over water bungalow, instead a private pool in Moorea, then we went all out in Bora Bora, what excursions provided big meals so that we wouldn't go hungry or save some $$ on lunch, little things like that). Her response time is quick, and she is available via email or phone, and we even had a little travel app while we were on our honeymoon. She truly caters your honeymoon trip to what you both want, and what you both worked so hard for! The little sweet surprises that we walked into like our personal "love quote", little gifts from the hotel, bottles of champagne! All of that truly made you feel like royalty and special!
We never thought we'd be able to make Bora Bora possible, but Sheila made it happen. We enjoyed every minute of it! To this day, It still feels surreal. Definitely will recommend to our family and friends! A job well done!

From the beginning portion of the process about asking about what we wanted for our honeymoon, she was there. Exclusive Travel Experiences: Sheila’s Special Touch on Our 30-Day European Tour
Sheila is great!!! We have used her many times and have never been disappointed. We booked a 30 day in-depth tour of Europe through Carefree Romantic Vacations. It was a fantastic trip and Sheila made it even more special with the extra things she arranged for us.
She upgraded the majority of our hotel rooms to 1 and/or 2 room suites with beautiful views. She also arranged for fruit baskets/beverages to be delivered to our rooms and left little notes for us. Other people on our tour were jealous with our special treatment. Even the tour director noticed and asked how we got the upgrades. It was so funny.
Our last two nights were in Paris. She arranged for us to be in a business suite with a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower. The manager of the hotel made a personal visit to our room and welcomed us. He said that he had received a call from Carefree Romantic Vacations requesting that we were treated as special guests. The manager then took us to the VIP lounge and we had wine on the house. Fantastic!!!

I very rarely, if ever write reviews, however Sheila at Carefree Romantic Vacations deserves a ton of praise. I had never gone through a travel agent before, but i’m so glad we did. She saved us countless hours of work/effort and brought an expertise that made everything so simple for us. We told her what we wanted and she made it happen. We originally selected the Bahamas, but due to some unforeseen circumstances with the hotel, the resort was closed during our intended stay. Normally this would be terrible, however Sheila not only called us immediately, but she found us a new, better resort in Jamaica as well as a few free nights stay at any Sandals this year due to the inconvenience. My wife has celiacs so food was a big issue for us. Everything was taken care of. The minute we arrived they they took us to the head chef and totally accommodated all of her food needs. The trip was a blast; romantic, adventurous, exciting. Hiking, boating, dancing, drinking, snorkeling, swimming with dolphins, everything we wanted. I’m in the military so I like everything to be organized and planned out and Sheila had everything arranged. Thanks Sheila for making it happen!!

Everything was taken care of and it was the most relaxing week of my life. Here is my more in depth review: My wife Megan and I had an unreal time in Puerto Vallarta. We stayed at the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta, which I cannot recommend highly enough. The entire staff was amazing and we were treated so well! Be sure to say HI! to Vicente, one of the awesome bartenders there, who works his tail off to bend over backward to help you out! Also, check out the big iguanas over near the south side of the resort. You can feed them fruit or flowers and they are super friendly. Another awesome part of the resort were the baby rays that were swimming in the water. You can swim with them in the mornings if you're fast enough, or you can just watch them from your room. Sheila booked everything from our travel and hotel, to our massage package and our unbelievable ziplining tour that I can't recommend high enough. If you get a chance, it's a can't miss day of fun. Megan and I will 100% be booking travel with Sheila in the future, as she took the time out to personalize our trip. She even sent us a little goodie basket to congratulate us on the wedding and upcoming honeymoon. Don't make the mistake of trying to do this all yourself, Sheila is affordable and worth the money.

Sheila was a huge help to my husband and I while trying to book a honeymoon. We went back and forth for some time trying to determine if we wanted to go away right after our wedding or wait until next year to do a trip. When my husband and I decided we wanted to get married in Mexico I began looking at hotels and immediately felt completely overwhelmed. I had no idea how to start and had so many questions about the process of a destination wedding. My aunt knew Sheila and told me maybe she could help with planning a wedding from afar. I was instantly so impressed with her professionalism and kindness. Sheila asked for our budget, desired location, estimated number of guests and what we had in mind for a wedding. She promptly sent me a chart with three different resort names, available wedding dates, cost and specifics. This allowed me and my husband to sit and easily choose a resort. Sheila handled communication with the resort wedding coordinator, was on conference calls with the on-site coordinator and myself and most importantly booked travel and activities for all of our guests. She had communication with our friends and family and helped coordinate all of their specific travel needs. Sheila listened to what was important to us and made sure it all came together. Our wedding was so special and I appreciate Sheila helping make that happen. I can not imagine planning our wedding without Sheila and I highly recommend her as a destination wedding coordinator and travel agent!

Stress-Free and Adventurous Honeymoon in Bali with Sheila
"Sheila was amazing! When you are going to a foreign country and have know clue what to look for, where to look, she is the best! My husband and I wanted and adventurous honeymoon in Bali (with some relaxation of course) and Sheila gave us exactly that. We stayed at the most beautiful, unique hotels with gorgeous views...a must have on my list! We went white-water rafting, on an elephant safari, bicycle riding through a Balinese village, my husband went surfing, swimming with dolphins, and we took a boat out to a giant pontoon in the middle of the ocean where we could snorkel, scuba, ride banana boats, mini submarine, & water slide. Sheila also booked all our flights, breakfast was included everyday, in addition to some Honeymoon specials. She also gifted us a romantic beach dinner, which was AMAZING! Finally, Sheila booked us a tour guide who picked us up at the airport, did our transfers between hotels...where he gave his knowledge of Bali and took us to different villages to explore...and drop off back at the airport. We would absolutely use Carefree Romantic Vacations and Sheila again! It made our honeymoon stress free and fun!"

Unforgettable Costa Rica Adventure Honeymoon by Sheila Cannon
My husband and I wanted an adventurous honeymoon in Costa Rica, but had no idea where to begin with planning it. A friend of mine, who had her destination wedding planned by Sheila, recommended Carefree Romantic Vacations to us for help with planning our honeymoon.
From our first consultation with Sheila, we were so impressed. Sheila was polite, attentive, and thorough. She asked us questions about ourselves and our likes and dislikes, and listened to all of our requests, budget details, and other hopes for the honeymoon. She promptly e-mailed us with a tentative schedule of places to stay and events to attend that we were thrilled with. She even helped us plan our trip to Florida that we were taking beforehand for Chris's (the husband's 😉 ) graduation, and booked our rental car and everything, even though that wasn't technically part of the honeymoon. We were so thankful!
Sheila hit the nail on the head. Our trip was full of adventures like night hiking, sightseeing, ziplining, snorkling, rainforest tours, a romantic sunset cruise, and so much more! At first we wanted to go bare minimum on the hotels, but Sheila recommended some nicer places to us, and in the end we were so glad she did! We both agreed that the amazing hotels she found for us really made the trip, and it wouldn't have been the same without those important details that she attended to.

I booked my honeymoon vacation with Sheila and she was great! She found us a great deal within our budget in Cabo San Jose. It was all inclusive so we had a great time eating and drinking. My wedding was truly magical and I am so thankful to Sheila for helping make it a reality! I am a full time PhD student and my husband works full time, we live across the country from where we grew up and our families are also spread out throughout the US. So, we decided if we were going to fly it would be somewhere new and fun! Sheila helped us pick a venue, she compiled information on all the wedding packages of the all-inclusive resorts that met our criteria and made it an affordable, stress-free experience for me to plan my dream wedding. Our original venue had to close due to the hurricane and in days of finding that out, Sheila had several other venue choices for us ready to go and we ended up loving our new venue, couldn't have imagined it anywhere else. She contacted and helped each person who had already reserved rooms at the old venue and helped easily change their reservations to the new one. Sheila Cannon arranged for a wonderful 20th Wedding Anniversary trip for my husband and I at the Riu Palace in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. On the Danube River cruise we went with my sister-in-law and brother-in-law it was complicated because we live on the west coast and they live on the east coast. Seamless Jamaica Honeymoon at Sandals Negril with Sheila’s Help
My wife and I wanted to go to Jamaica for our honeymoon. We didn’t know what resort we wanted or what part of the island, just that we wanted to go to Jamaica. We met Shelia at a bridal show in Costa Mesa and started to talk with her. The first thing I noticed immediately was that she wasn’t pushy or trying to sell us anything. Being a guy, the bridal show was already unbearable, but constantly being pushed to buy trivial stuff that you don’t need gets tiring to say the least. We spoke with her for about 15 minutes and she gave us some literature to take home and read. We probably spoke a few more times over the phone and finally narrowed down what resort we wanted based on Shelia’s recommendation. Once we put the deposit Sheila did everything. She did a great job booking flights and hotel accommodations. Our trip was planed out seven months in advance and from time to time she would check in with us for any changes and give us status updates. In addition every so often little gifts would show up in the mail; what a great touch. When the time came to finally take our trip we arrived at the resort only to find out that the accommodations that we had booked were not available. To say we were disappointed was a understatement. Once we were checked into our room (which was not the room we booked) I contacted Sheila just as she said to do in the event something was wrong. She was immediately available and started working the problem right away. She was able to help resolve our issues and kept us informed the entire time. In the end with Sheila’s help my wife and I were able to come to a resolution with the resort that worked for everybody. My wife and I will be returning to Jamaica in December and already have Sheila working on that for us. As a small business owner myself, I believe in the power of repeat business and referrals. The only way to generate either one of these with all other factors being equal is to offer the best customer service possible. Shelia does that and more. Honeymoon in Costa Rica – Perfectly Planned by Sheila
Sheila was absolutely amazing! Her response time was almost immediate and she really took the time to get to know you and what you were looking for in order to put together the perfect package for you and had no problem changing little details after the trip was already set. She was really very accommodating to anything we wanted and was still able to keep everything within the budget we decided on. I personally never would have thought to use a travel agent before, I would have thought that I could out everything together myself for a cheaper cost. But after working with Sheila, I realize that I was totally wrong. Her prices are not very much to begin with but the work she does completely pays for itself. Every now and then I would get an email from her saying hey I have a good relationship with these people so I was able to take off an extra $100 or something like that. This actually happened a few times in varying amounts and the the amount taken off was way more than her fees and something I wouldn't have been able to do had I booked everything on my own. Then there were all of the little extra surprises when we actually arrived. I know she wouldn't want me to give anything away but let me just assure your honeymoon will be much more enjoyable because of Sheila! I have nothing bad to say about her service. She is just wonderful!
Mother-Daughter Adventure to Antarctica & South America Planned by Sheila
My daughter and I wanted to travel to South America and thought, since we were going to be all the way in Argentina and Chile, we also wanted to see Antarctica. I searched around looking for ways to various places in So. America, but also actually go to Antarctica, not just cruise by it (and couldn't figure it out). We were all set to go to Cozumel, Mexico and a week before we were due to leave, the hotel informed us that we wouldn't be able to have the room that we booked and 1/3 of the resort was going to be under construction! On September 14th, after booking the airfare, picking the resort, booking rooms, and making plans with our wedding planner…Hurricane Odile hits the Baja peninsula for the 1st time in recorded history. For a month or two following the Hurricane we thought the resort we chose would be back in business in time to host our wedding in May, but that was not to be the case. The resort would not be open until June…
We had 40 guests with plane tickets, heading to Cabo in May, with no place to stay, and no wedding scheduled to attend…Bummer! Now it’s December…Big Bummer!
Without missing a beat, Sheila took control of the situation, went back to square one, and began again.
Sheila found us a new resort, booked the rooms, secured our daughters wedding date, and did it all… with her positive, can do – will do - attitude.
This is a woman who is driven, and loves her work.

I first off have to say that I was on the fence about looking for and hiring a travel agent however I am extremely grateful that I did. Her experience and professionalism made planning and experiencing the honeymoon a breeze! She would make every effort to look in depth at any of the bookings, try to save you money, see if there are any conflicts and address it to you, and continue to follow through with confirming everything is good to go days before your trip started.

My wife and I tried planning our honeymoon for close to a year! With two kids, it made it difficult to find the time for ourselves to plan a vacation that is suppose to be fun, not stressful. My husband and I used Sheila to help us plan our perfect honeymoon in Ocho Rios Jamaica. We stayed at the sandals grande riveria which was absolutely amazing and beautiful!
At first I was hesitant on using a travel agent because I figured I could book it on my own but we met Sheila and she was so knowledgeable on what each resort had to offer and really helped us choose the best resort for what we were looking for around our budget.
She also was a big help to me because 3 days before my honeymoon I tore my ACL in my knee (which was a big bummer) we could have rescheduled our trip because we had travel insurance but decided to still go and she made many accommodations for me to have a pleasant vacation in spite of my injury. Such as, each airport had a wheelchair ready and available for me to maneuver around in (which was nice because it got my husband and I in the front of all the lines), our resort gave us a nice room that was easily accessible as well.
These things may seem small but really made a difference in our trip. So needless to say we are happy with the services Sheila provided for our honeymoon!
Couple Savor Montreal, New York City, Washington, Munch, Salzburg & Vienna On Romantic International Trip Planned by Sheila
Shelia Cannon helped me with an international trip that included flights/trains/hotels/events starting in Calif, traveling to Montreal, NYC, Wash DC, Munich, Salzburg and Vienna, by not only booking all of the travel, but also giving me options, and then when I changed my mind (it happens a lot, I change my mind all of the time), Shelia went back and was able to redo our trip at the last minute. She even was able to get back $500 from United Airlines after changing my flights.
Without Shelia, my trip would have been a disaster. I know this sounds like bogus Yelp hyperbole, but it isn't. The woman is truly an amazing travel agent!

AFTER HONEYMOON:
First of all I want to say Sheila is hands down the Best!! Our honeymoon would have not been possible if it wasn't for her. We wanted to go to Europe but it was such a hard itinerary since we wanted to visit a few cities (London, Paris, Rome, Ibiza & Barcelona) and do many tours. Sheila is AWESOME!! I was looking for a travel agent everywhere for our European honeymoon. They recommended me two travel agents. They were a nightmare to work with. They had no idea what they were doing.
I went on yelp and found Carefree Romantic Vacations and saw all the great reviews. I made an appt to talk to Sheila. She called me very promptly and asked everything we wanted to do and see in our honeymoon. When I was on the phone with her she sounded very professional and she was very knowledgeable about European Vacations. I received an email from Sheila that same night with hotels and flights to the honeymoon and the itinerary was exactly what I wanted; something the other travel agent had no clue about. Every time I have a question about anything I email her and she replies within minutes. We are DELIGHTED with Sheila. Sheila is exactly what we were looking for. Hiring Sheila was truly one of the best decisions we could have possibly made. Not only was our trip perfect but it was beyond expectations and absolutely amazing. The best part of working with Sheila was she was so sweet and easy to work with and made sure everything was done to our liking.
Just one example of the many things she did for us; we have a six month old baby girl who, of course, wasn't able to go with us. Leaving her was the hardest part, but to my surprise when we arrived at the resort, there was a huge picture of my baby girl on my night stand.
